Re: Heat and Rfactor HELP
Don,
Hopefully you have the game already nearly installed for heat. Well anyways, you need to put it in Program Files and Program Files(x86). Whatever you have in Program Files NEEDS to be the same as what you have in x86. Ex. You have the track Dixie Speedway in Program Files, it'll show up in game but it'll crash. So make sure you have both of them in the folders. If you have any farther problems with that then catch me up on my vent sometime. (Vent info will be at the end of the post.)
Now, if you have a care of your own, I'm not sure on how to install Mod launcher 2 Swiss Army Knife Edition. For some reason it doesn't work in Program Files or x86, nor does it work in both of them. It seems to never be able to Locate "NASCAR Heat." I've been told you can manually install your car through the drivers.txt, you may want to talk to someone else about that because I just haven't fooled with putting my custom skin ingame.
rFactor, when you buy rFactor it gives you a code and all that good junk. Anyways, when you download it the auto installer will run it to x86, if so you need to manually change that. Also, some of the mods run to x86 when you download them. You'll have to manually put those in Program Files. Now if you want a task of always installing mods, skin packs, tracks, RFM files, and all sorts of good stuff then you put it in x86, BUT you have to install everything in x86 manually.
If any problems with that like I said above you can catch me on my vent or you can reply back and tell me whats going on.
I hope this helped, I know its a little bit to read but it should work for you.
Thanks,
Royster
